After you’ve completed your interviews, been offered the job, and negotiated a good compensation package, you’re ready to pack your briefcase and head off to your new job. But before you jump in, take the time to write a thank-you note to your new boss for giving you this career break. It’s a smart idea for a few reasons:

he boss stuck her neck out for you, and you want to assure her that she made the right decision.

That extra gesture of thanks sets an even friendlier stage for your first day of work.

You are appreciative of your job acceptance, and it’s appropriate to say so.

In her letter, Doreen Mathers showed her appreciation to the hiring manager for making her next career step possible. Without being sentimental, she expressed enthusiasm for her upcoming first day.

Terms of Employment

A thank-you note is a short letter of appreciation. A thank-you note sent to a friend for a job-search favor can be handwritten or typed on any size sheet of paper or note card. When sent to an employer, your letter should be typed on an 8 /2″ × 11″ sheet of paper.

Following are few sample thank you letter with job acceptance

Dear Mr. Watson,

Thank you for an insightful interview yesterday. I enjoyed meeting both you and your office staff.

After leaving your office, I realized that there was a point I’d like to add to our conversation: I believe a peer-assessment program would be an effective way of improving the customer service issue you mentioned.

I’d like to draw up my ideas for how to put together such an assessment program that would ensure a positive approach to a problem.

I’d follow up on this idea in a few days by phone. Again thank you for interview.

Sincerely Yours
