Resume plays a significant part in seeking job. First step of recruitment starts with scrutinizing resume. If your resume is not written in an ideal way, then you may miss a good opportunity. You may be an expert or a highly talented, but a bad resume may affect your career.
Consider these points while writing a good teacher resume.
Profile:
In the first section of your resume you have to write your full name, place, address, home/mobile number and e-mail address on the top of the paper. All the details should be appropriate and clear.
Objective/Career goal:
Under objective section, you need to write the purpose/aim for the job. It may be written in a following way ‘seeking a job/position as a…’ this section can be written in 2-3 lines. You need to make it striking by adding your skill and experience. Remember, it should be concise. Just keep it clean and professional. No grammar errors, no pronouns like (I, me).
Core Strengths:
This section can be named as core strengths, areas of expertise or efficiencies. Sum up this section with your strong points and proficiencies in the teaching field. This will highlight your abilities and draw the reader’s attention. If you are looking for a job as a teacher, you can add good communication skill, sound knowledge in the specified field, class management, use of teaching aids, interactive teaching etc. as per the post of teacher.
Professional History:
Here, you need to give information about your previous experience in teaching. Write the names of the schools or institutes in which you have worked earlier and are working presently. Mention the number of working years with it. For e.g.:

Highlight the duties and responsibilities undertook as a teacher there. Always start this section with your present job and responsibilities.
Achievements/Honors:
Emphasize your achievements as a teacher or any other when you were student. Write about your awards and appreciations. You can also add, if your efforts have made some improvement in a student, any teaching method which was resourceful, a duty allotted to you and has completed it efficiently. As a subject teacher, if you have organized any educational trip, activity, quiz or camp. You can also include any problem solved by yourself related to a concerned issue in this section.
Membership:
You can mark your membership of any teaching association. List any work you have voluntarily done in teaching for any association.
Education/Qualification:
Add your educational details, name of University, passed year. Only write relevant information which is required for the job.
Computer/IT Skill:
If you have skill in computers or internet knowledge, then add it to your resume.
